In the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee
Program (SINP) draw held on March 27th,
invitations were issued to Occupations In-Demand stream candidates.
The draw issued 275 invitations to
candidates with a minimum score of 75 points.
This draw was the 14th since Saskatchewan significantly
enlarged its list of eligible occupations, which currently stands at 218 from
the earlier 19.

In the SINP Expression of Interest
(EOI) draw held on March 27th, 205
invitations were issued to Occupations In-Demand candidates with a minimum
score of 75 on the SINP points assessment grid.
The candidates invited in the draw
have Educational Credential Assessments (ECA) for their foreign education.
Apart from that, they either have a close family relative living in
Saskatchewan or have studied at a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution.

What’s the process for SINP EOI?
- First,
the candidates have to submit their EOI profile.
- With
that, they enter the pool of eligible EOI candidates.
- Saskatchewan
selects EOI candidates with the highest score.
- Selected
candidates are issued Invitations to Apply (ITA) for SINP nomination via
the EOI draws.
- Candidates
are then required to submit all documents with their application within 60
days of receiving their ITA.
- SINP officials then evaluate the
applications received and take decision.
What are the requirements for SINP
Occupation-In-Demand stream?
- A
minimum score of 60 on the SINP points assessment grid
- Minimum
language proficiency of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 4. For
certain jobs, this requirement may vary with employers asking for a higher
CLB level
- Minimum
1 year of post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship comparable
to the Canadian educational standards. Candidates are required to have
completed a certificate, diploma or degree course.
- An
Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report will be required for
post-secondary education completed outside Canada
- Minimum
1 year of work experience in the last 10 years:
- In the field of candidate’s education or
occupational training, while also in an eligible occupation in NOC 0, A
or B. Must not be an excluded occupation
- Obtain
the relevant license to practice in the province, if the candidate’s
occupation requires. Without a license, immigration application will not
be processed in such a case
- Proof
of settlement funds along with a settlement plan
What are the requirements for SINP
Saskatchewan Express Entry stream?
Foreign candidates or candidates with
a legal status in Canada can apply for the SINP stream. However, they do not
qualify if they are refugee claimants.
The candidates must meet the
following criteria to be eligible to apply:
- Must
have an Express Entry profile, with profile number and job seeker
validation code
- Must
have a minimum score of 60 points on the SINP points assessment grid
- Must
have passed a relevant language test and have a valid language test result
from a designated testing agency
- Must
have completed minimum 1 year of post-secondary education, apprenticeship
or training comparable to the Canadian educational standards. Must have
completed a certificate, diploma or degree course
- An
Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report will be required for
education completed outside Canada
- Meet
one of the following work experience requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in the
last 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades)
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a
skilled trade in the last 5 years
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in Canada
in the past 3 years (trades and non-trades)
- Work
experience must be in an eligible and high-skilled occupation in NOC 0, A
or B. It shouldn’t be an excluded occupation.
- Have
the necessary licensure to practice a regulated profession in the
Saskatchewan province. For skilled trades, a certificate will be required
from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission.
- Must have a proof of settlement
funds along with a settlement plan
